Out of the mouths of babes...

"Mommy, I want to vote for Rabak Babama...just like you," said the five-year old child last night after watching a Nickelodeon commercial featuring the two candidates.

"Do you know who he is, Petra?" I asked, a little surprised.

"Yes, he's blue, like you. Daddy's red. I'm going to be blue." She said matter-of-factly.

"How do you know this stuff," I asked incredulous.

"We talked about it," her father indicated, walking back into the room. "She wanted to know who we were voting for and I told her - to make it simple - that you were voting blue and I was voting red. She wants to vote blue like her momma."

"Oh, okay. As long as she heard it from you." I said, relieved that she hadn't picked all of this up from television. Because then, we'd have a problem.
