All Done!

It's her new favorite phrase. And the way she says it is priceless, "awwww duuuun." I can't even tell you how amazing it is to hear your daughter say words and phrases for the first time. Unbelievable. And if you ask her where your teeth are, she sticks a little finger in your mouth and scratches at your teeth. (Now, she's not quite sure where her foot is--still kinda points in the mouth--but we are trying to teach her).

Oh, and Roger at Home Depot thinks she's the cutest little girl he's seen. Roger is a grandfather who works in the paint department. He gave Petra two paint sticks to play with. But it wasn't her blue eyes that won him over, no sir. It was the fact that he watched her push the shopping cart (with me steering) from one end of the store to the other...FIVE TIMES. It was her mission to move that cart as fast as she could. Roger couldn't stop laughing. Actually, most of the people who saw the peanut pushing the cart couldn't stop laughing.

God I wish you could all see her and spend time with her. She might hit you in the face a couple of times, but those are love pats. And though you might not like having your lips parted by a greasy, milk-covered finger just so she can touch your teeth, Petra will get under your skin. And you will love every minute of it.
