I've created a monster.
P: Mommy, I want to do Hanukkah now and open my present.
Me: Petra, it's 10am. We do Hanukkah when it's dark out...at sundown.
P: (trying to put candles in the menorah; getting quite agitated) But mommy, I want to do Hanukkah now. Make the fire!
Me: Petra, settle down. We'll do Hanukkah later.
P: (says nothing. Just writhes and screams on the floor in full-on tantrum mode)
