Easter was lovely. Petra and I actually accompanied her father to Mass, but stopped short of participating. She wanted to know why we sat while everyone else kneeled/took communion and I told her it is because we are "different". Well, her father didn't like that too much.
"She's not different," he proclaimed.
"Different is not bad," I said. "Different is different, nothing more."
"Well, don't give her a complex. We don't want to upset her!"
"Ok. Petra, honey? You are the same as everyone else. Just the same. Nothing more. No different. Are you happy now, Natche?"
