- The wholesale total of tequila sales in the U.S. in 2007 was $1.6 billion, a 4.2% increase over the previous year (thanks to us, no?)
- Under Mexican law, the western state of Jalisco is the only region that can produce tequila
- Juice from the blue agave plant must make up 5% fo the ingredients to be labeled tequila
- 540 agave plants are cut weekly by the average jimador (farmer)
